Mediator Tech readers, I need your vote! It’ll take you one minute and the link is below.
You see, a while back, I entered my private office into Lifehacker’s Coolest Workspaces Contest and wow, mine was one of the cool workspaces picked for the preliminary round. Now I’m a finalist and the voting has begun. It’s a tough race, as there are some cool competitors. Help me out, won’t you?

A little background about my workspace, in case you’re interested: I used environmentally sustainable products wherever possible. The paint is a low-VOC latex, the red oak (original to the office) floor sealant is from organically derived materials, the large carpet squares are from green flooring leader Flor, all bulbs are compact fluorescent, windows double pane, and the supplementary woodstove (it’s New Hampshire, after all) is high-efficiency and has a catalytic converter.
I aim for clean, green and simple, yet warm and inviting. The setup is DSL and wireless (you can see my Mac AirPort Extreme router on the bottom shelf behind the big chair) so that I can tuck away components like the printer and have almost no cords on my desk. All office supplies are either in containers on shelves or in the storage bays.
I designed it to be flexible. I sit at the desk some of the time and with my MacBook on my lap in the green chair other times. The view from the comfy chair is amazing; the windows look out into our woods, with the likes of brown bear, moose, turkeys, coyote, fisher and deer on any given day.
Please vote for my workspace!
